Our well baby nursery admits newborns as early as 35 weeks, so we are attempting to clarify if late preterm infants count towards our exclusive breastfeeding rate for BabyFriendly criteria? The phrase "healthy, term" infants is frequently used in the criteria, and if using Joint Commission standards, this would equate to 37 weeks and greater. Would all infants be included by default because they are admitted to well baby nursery or should we only be calculating these rates with infants 37 weeks and greater? Expand
